Lessons with Amy Carty Wagers - Nightingale Harp
About the Teacher
Amy discovered her strong passion for teaching harp in High School, when she was invited to substitute teach for a fellow harpist for a month. Since then, she has sought out opportunities to gain teaching experience, including taking pedagogy classes at Indiana University and accepting as many elective students as possible.
Amy has years of harp teaching experience in both TN and IN. She teaches beginner to intermediate level students of all ages, using a more French influenced technique and method.
Lessons
Private lessons will be held weekly at Amy's home in Lenoir City, TN.
Lever harp students will be taught on Amy's Lyon & Healy 34 string Ogden, and pedal harp students will be taught on her concert grand Lyon & Healy style 30.
Beginner lessons are 30 minutes, and Intermediate lessons are 1 hour.
Rate
Amy charges $35 for 30 minute lessons and $70 for 1 hour lessons. If you would like to try playing a harp before deciding if it is right for you, Amy offers one free 30 minute trial lesson so you can experience both the harp and the teacher in person.
